Complete rest is advised for the first half of the day to acclimatise to the high altitude.

Proceed to Deskit (118 km from Leh) and visit:
• Deskit Monastery – Founded by Lama SherabZangpo in 1420 A.D., this is the oldest and largest monastery in Nubra Valley.

Check in at your camp or hotel. In the afternoon, visit:
• Hundar Village (7 km from Deskit) – Set amidst sand dunes surrounded by towering mountains.

Continue to Tang Tse and then on to Spangmik at Pangong Lake.

In the afternoon, arrive at Pangong Lake and enjoy the remainder of the day at this mesmerising high-altitude lake (4,350 m). The lake is famous for its crystal-clear blue waters that change colour through the day — from blue to green to red — and for its stunning surrounding mountain reflections.
